Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of some questions that we find are asked quite frequently by customers. The list is by no means exhaustive so if there is anything else you need to know then please email us.
Our garments do look very special and are ideal for weddings but can also be worn to parties, to the theatre, on holiday, to a ballet class, a prom, or a dance – just any occasion that needs a really special outfit.
And we also have our “Design by You” page where customers can have fun designing their own customised tutu dress or tutu skirt.

Simply hang your garments using the satin ribbon tags provided in our skirts or by the satin ribbon straps on our dresses. Tulle net fabric can crease so hanging them up will keep them looking lovely and ready to wear. However, we know what kids can be like ! So if the outfit is not hung up then you can steam it ( using a fancy machine if you have one) by simply hanging them up in a shower room – works well in our opinion ![/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”How do I clean my skirt/dress?” active=”0″]
Our products are all hand made and delicate so we recommend you spot clean your garment with a warm cloth – very carefully! Especially if you have an embellished garment. Don’t ever tumble dry your garment just hang it out to dry. If your outfit needs a more thorough clean then a gentle warm hand wash will work.[/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”What if my garment creases?” active=”0″]The main material we use to make Dainty Dizzy outfits is net tulle and this can crease if it is not hung up. Please do not go anywhere near an iron! Creases can be easily dealt with by hanging your garment in or near a steamy bath or shower.[/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”What are the dresses/skirts made from?” active=”0″]
All our tutu skirts and tutu dresses are made from a mixture of fabrics. The outer layers are 100% nylon tulle ( our suppliers are EU Child Friendly), the inner lining to our dresses is satin polyester and we use satin ribbons for shoulder straps and hanging tags. We spend a lot of time ensuring that our material is really good quality. This not only makes a big difference to the way our hand made products look but also to the comfort of wearing them. Our tulle is a very fine mesh – so it’s soft. This type of tulle is intended to be used in wedding garments, whereas many thicker, more abrasive versions should only be used for products such as wedding favours and florist decorations! We don’t use thick, abrasive net EVER!!
All of our bridesmaid dresses are lined using Venezia fabric – a polyester “silk” feel material. Soft and ideal for young children on a long day out.[/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”How do I learn about the latest promotions and special themes?” active=”0″]
We like to offer our customers a fun shopping experience, so we will often launch offers and competitions either through our main website or through our linked social media pages such as
These will always be communicated through the Dainty Dizzy Blog and will often be themed either seasonally or by a special occasion – such as major country or world wide events![/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”Do you deal with wholesale orders ?” active=”0″]
Yes we do ! We have dealt with orders from retailers as far away as China and Malaysia and we are always happy to speak to buyers about our wholesale price list. Please email or call us on 07815 146313 / email us and we’d be very happy to deal with your enquiry.[/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”What size of garment should I order?” active=”0″]
We have a measurement chart for just that type of question.
This will help you see what standard measurements we use when, for example, making a skirt or dress for a 3year old.
If you can it is always a good idea to check the waist measurement of your intended recipient. We realise that this is not always possible which is why our sizes are standard / average per age. If you can check the size then be sure not to pull the tape measure too tight around the area just above the hips!
Again, if you are able to it is a good idea to check the chest measurements – this is the widest area of the chest – so your tape measure will need to go just under the arms and across the chest. Again – don’t pull too tight on the tape measure![/yjsgacgroup] [yjsgacgroup title=”What if I have a design in mind that isn’t shown?” active=”0″]
Simply contact us and we will be more than happy to talk you through how we can help you with your bespoke order. Same applies if you have a big order – please let us know and we can see how we can help you with that.

We know how tricky it can be to buy gifts let alone order a garment for a friend / or a friends daughter or even a granddaughter .. so how about the simplicity of a gift voucher? Who ever you are buying for can spend the voucher on designing their very own Dainty skirt or dress or just coming to our on line shop and buying anything from our range! Here’s how it works:
- Click on “gift voucher”
- Click on the amount you want to spend
- We will email you your voucher
- You can then email your voucher on to your friend or relative or print it off and enclose it within a card ( they are pretty our vouchers so will certainly look great in a card as long as you have a colour printer!)
