We always welcome the opportunity to get our design heads on. This wonderful bespoke flower girl dress order from our customer in Lancashire was extra exciting. The wedding was planned for 16th November 2016 at The Royalton White Sands in Jamaica and the theme was to use exotic colours and trim – hurray!
Amie, our bride to be, was super organised and contacted us well ahead of her planned big day. This meant we had plenty of time to plan her special little bespoke flower girl dress.
Customised Design
The main brief was the fabric needed to match the “coral” shade of the groom and best man’s ties. Amie was also very clear on the dress design she needed and sent us an image of a flower girl “tutu” style she had already seen. We confirmed we could design a bridesmaid tutu dress very similar to this. As part of the customised design service we sent Amie a swatch of the fabric colour we thought would match the grooms tie. This was a lovely warm coral net mixed with a softer peach tulle. We also sourced pretty coral flower trim for the bodice of the dress and lined the tutu with a soft peach fabric. The flower trim had to be ordered from overseas so it was just as well we had plenty of time !
Amie sent us some simple measurements of her little girl and we made the dress to fit exactly. You can see from the image that the finished result looks adorable !
